PAT (Portable Appliance Testing), technically now called In-Service Inspection & Testing is a crucial part of ensuring that your premises is safe from danger. By interpreting a series of electrical tests, the technician can determine whether your appliance is safe for continued use. Without these checks, there is often no way to determine whether your appliance is operating correctly and how it will behave under fault conditions.

It is usually beneficial to test appliances every 12 months and keep records of the findings.
